Description

Roundup Express Concentrate (400 ml) is a versatile foliar herbicide for the treatment of unwanted vegetation. It is used against weeds on paths and in woody areas. Its effect is visible after only 1 to 3 hours. Not suitable for lawns!

Biodegradable: the active ingredient is broken down by soil microorganisms.

SPECTRUM OF ACTIVITY: Effective against most weeds, including:

  • Black medick (Medicago lupulina)
  • Speedwell (Veronica species)
  • Annual nettle (Urtica)
  • Common lambsquarters (Chenopodium album)
  • Common groundsel (Senecio vulgaris)
  • Common chickweed (Stellaria media)
  • Black nightshade (Solanum nigrum)
  • Sow thistle (Sonchus species)
  • Black mustard (Brassica nigra)
  • Bristly oxtongue (Picris hieracioides)
  • Willowherb (Epilobium species)
  • Shepherd's purse (Capsella bursa-pastoris)
  • Canadian horseweed (Erigeron canadensis)
  • Common fumitory (Fumaria officinalis)
  • Horseweed
  • Dead-nettle species (Lamium species)
  • Corn spurrey (Spergula arvensis)
  • Annual bluegrass (Poa annua)

Less effective at controlling: Field horsetail (Equisetum arvense), scentless mayweed (Matricaria discoidea), or sea mayweed (Matricaria maritima).

Insufficiently effective at controlling: German chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla), ribwort plantain (Plantago lanceolata), winter barley (Hordeum vulgare), or broad-leaved dock (Rumex obtusifolius). Perennial weeds such as dandelions, clover, plantain species, or horsetail are only affected in their juvenile stages and therefore cannot be controlled long-term. Additional spraying may be necessary due to the risk of regrowth.

MODE OF ACTION: Roundup Express Concentrate acts as a non-selective, contact-based foliar herbicide on virtually all green, growing plants. It causes rapid desiccation of the treated plants. The agent destroys the upper protective layer, causing cells to leak, leading to desiccation and tissue death. Results are visible 1 to 3 hours after treatment.
It is used to control weeds on paths and in areas with woody plants and ornamental shrubs. For ornamental shrubs, the treatment can be applied around the trunk once the bark is firm. Do not apply to fresh, non-woody trunks.
The aerial parts of green plants will be affected by the treatment. Any reseeding should only be carried out the following day.
The product destroys all green parts of plants. Do not treat untreated plants, including lawns. The product has no residual effect. For best results, young weeds should be treated at the start of their growth, up to a height of 10 cm. If the plants are not dead after one treatment, repeat the treatment after 14 days.

  • Preparation and application of the spray mixture: Example dosage for weeds: For approximately one liter of spray mixture (sufficient for 33 m²), pour 76 ml of concentrate into the sprayer container. Then fill the measuring cup with clean water and pour this rinsing water into the sprayer container. Finally, top up to one liter with the remaining water.
  • Cleaning the sprayer: Immediately after use, rinse the sprayer three times in succession with water. Once the sprayed coating is dry, apply the wash liquid to the treated area using the sprayer.
